For some reason, many people seem to think that there is a difference between a broken bone and a fractured bone.
It's the same thing, "broken bone" is the layman's term, "fracture" is the medical term.

Well, what a surprise that was. Orthopedic DR advised and DD#2 and I agreed,the forearm bone is shattered where it attached to the wrist on the thumb side, little chips of bone floating around in there. Will have surgery to set bone,clean out fragments...
