Brown started off as full custom making pistols for himself.
Brown builds the same not mentioning the makes here, no need.
Wilson builds in a one-off mindset.
And Wilson are two completely different shops.

And they're very human too, both good days and bad .

Baer , Brown, maybe Dan Wesson is almost there.
NHC included.
Wilson builds a fine 1911, however so does a handful of other manufacturers.
The Nighthawk will hold up just fine.

Has anyone used the Wilson Combat Drop in Parts in your R1? Specifically I am wondering about the Beaver-tail grip safety, hammer, extended thumb safety, and extended slide stop. I was wondering how "drop in" these really are with the R1.
