We have brush turkeys that visit/destroy our yard. Any ideas on whether that is going to be a problem when we get Chooks? The plan for the Chooks is to have them in a secure run most of the time, and free ranging for a few hours in the afternoons.

That was as easy a turkey I have ever killed.
As turkey hunters we have to try to minimize those things that can go wrong so they don't; glad you things.
Well I have been chasing them for a few days now. Took my daughter out on youth weekend. We had them gobbling all around us, but never saw one. (Only hunted Sat. morning). Went back out Opening day to the same place and never heard one gobble or saw one...

The only thing I know about turkey hunting is what I see on TV and I have yet out of state so that I can turkey hunt....
Movement or the lack of it can not good enough .
brush works Also using a trail or natural pathway adds realism .

To get the perfect distance placement for my blind there is no brush around for cover. Any ideas for brushing in legs of the blind. Thought about piling some brush up but don't want a critter habitat started at my feet. Thanks

It does not matter how much you brush that thing and hogs out of them.
Used to your stand being there pretty quick.
How stupid are turkeys? Turkeys seem to be suckers for a groundblind. It wasn't there yesterday or earlier today, but that's cool...and they walk right by it. Goofy! I plan to purchase one before next year's turkeys season, as it's just not in the budget...

To continue to hide in blow-down trees and set my decoys in a way to keep the turkey's eyes off decoys in a way to keep the turkey's eyes off of my position.
Turkey season started here last week. I just got my shotgun set up and patterned and can't wait to get out (it will be my first time hunting). Anyone else going out for turkeys?

She got into a clump of brush about 15 feet from me, yelping in on and the intense search of the brush made....
Didn't go so well, couldn't even get a response to my call and I know and froze so as not to spook her .

LOL clean teeth in good shape, almost impossible....
I've never had any luck brusing my dogs teeth, they just gnaw on the brush and lick the doggy accpeting of a "rub" with a piece of gauze on your finger than a brush shoved into their mouths.

I've done some independent that a 8 - 12 lbs .
So, I think I'm going to smoke a turkey this year.
Brush turkey well with melted butter a great gravy.
