Victoria: Limo or taxi to Buchart Gardens- recently?
With a family of 4, I think it might be cheaper to take a taxi or rent a limo out to Buchart Gardens for the Sunday morning we will be there (7am to 2pm) and pay the regular admission fees.

I am in Victoria late May but our cruise ship is only there from 6.30pm till midnight. Are the gardens in bloom then or would it be better to just explore the Inner Harbour ?

If your cruise ship tour allows you 1.5-2 hours ... .
Have a look at the Butchart Gardens website (click on May) for what is available at that time - butchartgardens.com/planning-your-visit/the-… The Gardens will be in full bloom in late May.

Except for Halifax Public Gardens I have not heard of any large gardens in NS. Is there any worth Visiting? I have been to Buchart Gardens in Victoria and they were great!! I know that there wont be any as big but are there any that are big and worth ...

It is rated one of Canada's finest gardens..
Historic Gardens-- Annapolis Royal www.historicgardens.com.
Perhaps not the quality of the Butchart, but close.
There are wonderful gardens in Annapolis Royal - well worth seeing.

Does anyone think it is a risk going to the Butchart Gardens in Victoria by local bus? Obviously we would have to be back on board at 1.30 for a 2pm sail. The gardens open at 10 am so we would plan to be there when they open.

I will be visiting Victoria in July. Should I visit Abkhazi garden if I plan to visit Butchart Gardens or will this be garden overload? I plan to see Craigdarroch Castle. Is it worth a trip to Hatley Park to see the castle there?

I know that touring is very personal....
Buchart Gardens will be that last evening for the Saturday fireworks , Beacon Hill Park , etc., to determine whether you want to add Abkhazi Garden or Hatley Castle.
Or any "extras" we come across.

The gardens are amazing, probably among the nicest in the world.
It is lovely.
It consisted of a city tour on the way there .
We did Buchart Gardens.
Definitely the best way to go.

I have been trying to figure out how long it takes to drive from Victoria to Tofino . I keep getting confliting answers from 2 hours to 4 hours. How long does it really take? Thanks :-)
