It sinks beneath and then is washed out using the two bucket method.

I was curious about what everyone does for bug/road grime related washing. I have Machine Super Sealant on my car and the bugs/road
grime do come off with minimal effort but I still refuse to use my Adam's wash pads for washing my side skirts, bumpers...

The wash pads are very durable, proven scratch free.
The two bucket method and do a good thorough rinsing of the wash pads afterwords, there is absolutely no reason you need to buy another sponge.

If its oil it will remain an oil bucket till it gets to heavy I second hot water and tsp of plastic and some tape....
Latex, fill the bucket with water and let set for a few hours, I use a scratchy type sponge to clean, and soak time.
