A weeping buddha can be pictured less forward than that.
There's actually chinese statue named weeping buddha, and it has this specific pose..which smelled bad, no need to say it.

This doesn't and minimize the bright highlights ....
The lighting quality of the Buddha and the background are a bit too different.
There is something about those mentioned.
I think the Buddha is too sharp and glossy for the matt background.
