I live in an apartment and also not much of an audiophile. I do appreciate good music though. I have a 46" LCD TV, a IPTV box and planning to get a media server.

Besides, you can get a nice AR on that budget, and only, for the most part it's a modular weapons system with a ton of potential add ons to fit your budget.
Not so with the Mini-14.

I could go a little over $600 if necessary, but would prefer not to. I need a 7.1 receiver that is 3D ready (don't have a 3D TV yet). I want functionality, excellent sound and durability.
Won't consider Onkyo after my last one crapped out in 24 months...

Yes for $600 shipped.
My living is fairly simple - to get a decent 5.1 home theater for my condo, priced under $1000 total.
If anything I would like to stay under that budget, not to go over.
That includes a receiver.

I am looking for a new TV, was looking at the LG 50PK350 and now looking at the LG PZ550T. Not sure what else is available and what to go for, need help choosing.

I am not sure there is anything other than an LG if you want in the Panasonic 3D line up, I think the 250 is the bottom model for LG (who are more of a budget brand they lack this and tbh makes them....
That's a very big wishlist for £600...
