I have really been studying about natural gas. Honda builds a Civic that uses it. Many buses, trash trucks and the like use this gas. I think this stuff is less than 2 bucks a gallon.

Today natural gas is at the lowest price in 10 years. $2.37 or so per whatever. But we are still beholden for our energy.

Natural gas pipelines, at least in developed world have a good leakage record, and I doubt that the leakage is as much as 3%.

Natural gas engines put out a fair bit of oxides of nitrogen but are still a lot cleaner than gasoline to the weight of natural....
A propane engine puts out mostly water.
Propane and natural gas are both cleaner than gasoline.
