It will depend on how much time you have available but personally I found it difficult to find time to spend on the second less busy forum. I say if the letter is written so it's personal, then it's not spam. If it's the same letter sent over and over to everyone, some may compare the letters and mark you as a spammer. So, write different letters for each person and you should be fine. source
