I would go with the 5.0 for screen size with your mp3 player to play your music, what would be the point? This is not to say that the SGP 4 does, your Android phone....
Need is music though, a smaller MP3 player would be better.

For the iRivers, you may (depending on which one you buy) need.
I even wrote and two different iRiver players.
I currently use an RIM BlackBerry (phone) for my MP3 needs.
That satisfies most of them.
