I've wanted to get rid of my old WD hdd for a while and I just saw a couple of Glyph hdd's pop up at my local pawnshop.
Would you buy them?

$75 seems like a lot for a used hard-drive boat, and +1.
Get a new one.
An HDD is the first thing to fail...
Just pass and save for a new one.

My company (non-profit) is looking to buy used servers rather than leasing them from a vendor or buying new ones.
What are a list of checks / test (memcheck,fsck,etc.) we should run on the equipment before purchasing?

OK, any server can fail at any time, and it's perfectly possible for a used server to outlive a new one, but are they willing to take that risk?
Anyway, as well as checking to the equipment before you buy....

I have never purchased rackmount computers before, I do a lot of software development from my home office, sometimes I have as many as 6-8 servers setup with various platforms for testing and debugging.

Sitting are there for initial setup, etc, but in general you'll want to use some sort of remote login/desktop software, I would use remote....
I have used the Dell PowerEdge servers in the past and their fans are loud.

What's the difference between the 2008 and 2010 Honda CR-V. I'm looking to buy a used one.? Price-wise there is a reasonable difference. And I'm a light user so I don't mind either if there isn't a huge difference in them.

I would rather get a 500 ....
If you do buy one buy warranty the minute you get it.
And warranty on the vehicle before you buy, in other words don't buy one where your not going to service the car now has 74kmi .
