So I read the thread about trying to get better reception about factory antenna's. I have looked at 5 sites online and I don't see anything that really looks spectacular to get me. I am looking for the best FM signal available. I currently have a stick...

FM is an entirely from larger wavelengths (lower frequencies) as well as the signal you are looking for .
A CB antenna is the proper length for the citizen's band.

Might get a few laughs outta this one but would it be weird to have cb antennas just for the looks? haha.. I dont really want or need a cb radio but I like the looks of the dual antennas.

But i think it is wierd to not have a cb hooked to them.
I think, but i loved the way the truck looked with two 'glass whips .
Completely normal most, like 95%, of people with CB antennas do it only for looks.

Where are you guys running the wire from the cb antenna into the cab? Is there a hole in the cab somewhere in the floor or the back wall or do I have to run it all the way to the firewall. I mounted two cb antennas on my tool box and just dont know where...

Do you have to take the seat out to get to it? not sure on the crew cab, but on my reg cab I just slid the pass .

I just bought a Midland 75-822. I got a 4' Firestik and dont have any idea what type of cable i need to run from the CB to antenna. Let me know, what you know.

Assuming that you replaced a 40 channel UHF CB with an 80 channel one, then the antenna is ok report
Most modern CB transcievers have a pretty high tolerance of antenna mismatch and have Auto DiD Pajero - Jayco Discovery

I want to get a CB here soon. Ive read get a cheap CB and a good antenna, and tune it. WTF does tune it mean? I might go up to the truckstop around here and check stuff out. Any opinions?

Maybe a radio shack or best buy Been readin this thread and I got a 102" stainless steal cb antenna and throw things at you ....
Two important things wattage and carrier you can have low .
To tune : match you antenna to your CB.

Just finished the installing a new cb radio and mounting the antenna opposite the radio antenna on drivers side in cowling. We did this on my 350 and my brothers 350!
