I don't replace axles with torn boots that aren't making noise.
Once they start making noise, it's too late.
My CV boots have been torn for about two months now and I need to get it fixed. Is it probably a good idea to get a whole new CV joint? People have told me that the joint will sooner or later fail if the boots have been torn that long.

Do you know how to jack up your car? if so, get under there and check for torn boots or play I think is coming from one of the rear ones....
