We are getting estimates and man do they seem way high. Our kitchen is something like 8x12 with a moderate island. I think 30 fronts including drawers - nothing crazy.

Not sure how many cabinets surface such as a cabinet door rather than a trim which can get a bit more interesting.
Refacing is really expensive.

Was a bear of a job, but it did turn... .
Once that dried, the we installed the stone about 3 tiers at a time .
We ended up nailing metal lathe first to the painted brick, then thinset .
I did a stone job on the fireplace we had in Levittown Pa a long time ago .

We want to re-do the kitchen, but its a major overhaul and a few years down the line. I'm toying with repaining the cabinets (again), or just getting them refaced.
