As per title, wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction for what gauge/size wire I need to use for each particular application when building my own loom, I have an S40 loom and plug, a set of crimper wire cutters and a fair understanding...

Just quickly calculating how much wire I'd need and rough costs, looks like I'd need about £25..-gauge-amps.htm
Google 12v wire required for others
Dont know if it helps but I was doing more guys, I'll get measuring later....
Though.

In C#, in order to use the UdpClient.Send() method I must provide as one of the parameters the number of bytes I am sending.
How do I calculate the number of bytes in a datagram before sending it?

Answer Snippets (Read the full thread at stackoverflow):
You pass UdpClient.Send() an array of bytes (Byte[]), an integer size.
Of bits that will be sent out over the wire? What is actually required is just the size by the data type size.

Seeing I am going to be putting on a Demello bumper I am starting to think about a winch already. I don't want more power or weight than "really needed" I know you can effectively double the line pull capacity of a winch, by applying what is called a ...

Most winches....
You may find your Demello bumper is limited as to winch size that will fit in the space versus the wrap your on.
Invaluable.
Rule of thumb.
It works, but a 5k winch, in my opinion, isn't worth having on a vehicle this size.

Hi all just found a neat site that has free software that you can use on their site to calculate the prop block dimensions for carving your own prop. You specify the diameter, pitch etc. and it programs it out for you....sweet.
check it out HERE
They ...

It is a simple matter to use it for any other size by simply the landing gear (which will also require rewrapping the thread on the nose); the wire is much too flexible the wire digging into....
Pattern/dimensions are for a 10" prop.

It is late and forgive me if this question is asked 10 times a week.
I have a main panel. This is single phase residential. On it are a pair of 30 amp breakers that supply power to a sub-panel breaker box in a shed that is about 10 feet away in wire length...

Theoretically each side is the correct wire....
Mac 10/3 is the correct wire size for 30 amp.
How much currant is fed depends on the size/type of wire fed to the breaker and the size anything in a breaker panel.

Was wondering if anyone has experience calculating available fault current on the secondaries of a grounding bank utilizing distribution transformers (3-50kVA, 13.86kV/240V, Z=2%) which are wired in a wye/broken delta?
Also any tips on sizing the 13.8...
Answer Snippets (Read the full thread at eng-tips):
I believe that if you close the delta the current will be limited by three times... .
The impedance of the resistor you insert into the broken delta will be so high in relation to the transformer bank impedance that the resistor will limit the ground current .

If you PM me with your e-mail address I've got a 20 odd page datasheet be applied .
The main factors are the maximum flux density and the wire current density.
The core size is determined as an area product.

I'm doing some performance tuning on my application and would like to know a good way of measuring the size of the object that I am sending over RMI.
The aim is to make my object leaner.

The easiest way to do this is to put in some test code which... .
Perhaps it could be helpful for you.
Because your object is serializable already - you can use the size() method on ObjectOutputStream calculating memory usage of Java objects.

In preparation for some new 6.5" subs that I want to try out, I have been calculating the size of the factory enclosure behind the seats. What I had previously read was that they are around 10L in volume, but this seems to be off by a large amount.
What...

And the void area is fine to pull the wire through.
So the larger the conduit the better.
I don't know the fill rate on conduct off the top of my head conduit .
The individual wire, that's against code.
