What rifle caliber, bullet for the least meat loss & damage
What is your combo you are using for hunting bear, deer, moose, elk to keep the meat damage to a minimum. Some guys use one caliber and others use a few.

That said even a nasty bullet right behind the shoulder won't destroy much if any, unless you eat....
Don't shoot them in a piece that you intend to eat almost always destroy less meat then faster ones .
One caliber here; .270 Winchester.

What would you guy's say is the best Competion Bullet for any caliber?
I know everyone has their favorite's and every gun is different unto itself.But for accuracy and down right performance out of any particular rifle. I would like to get some info ...

Competition bullets are available in the caliber and bullet weight you want to try, they're certainly a great don't have more target-shooting awards than any other bullet users just by coincidence.

Bullets for .479 caliber ML I have an old Swedish army rifle in 12.17mm or .479 (groove .496)
It's all but impossible to find bullets for it and I shoot double patched .457 round balls in it.
That's good enough for shooting at tree stumps and enjoying...

I was assuming that the rifle brass .469 RB mold for ~$32 (20 ... .
Bullet moulds assumed that an oversized bullet would be hell to load.
Lee makes a mould for a .50 caliber "minie" bullet that is about .495 in diameter.

All of my reloading has been with bullets that have some sort of chamfer on the base but today I loaded some samples I received of flat base .204 bullets. It was impossible to them seated into the case so I had to hold them in place while running them...

I see what you mean now also. This may add some to that. Many bullet manufactures use a thinner jacket and softer lead in light for caliber bullets and tougher with the heavies. So that would make a difference. So many factors. I can use my 22's through...

bullets, I would think that the larger diameter bullet would have more suface area to dump that energy staight on heart shot) the smaller bullet would probably penetrate deeper, more likely reaching vitals pass through on both ....

A small caliber can kill stuff but a large caliber can do but he didn't so he was mad....
Larger calibers kill exponentially better on large and tough big game.
They have caliber minimums in Africa for a reason on dangerous game.
