The iPhone camera toolbar is gray and has a slight gradient. I believe I could achieve the same look by setting the tintColor and/or translucency of the toolbar.
Any idea how I could make my toolbar look exactly like the camera one?
This isn't quite right...

Look direction is a unary vector positioned at the camera that points in the direction the camera is looking.
Is a vector from the scene root(origin) to the camera.

In the 90s what you saw looked different than they do now. HD is probably closer to what it is actually is in person, but the 90s cameras had a special look and feel to them.

Not the sharpest, but something about it made it more gritty, more, real?
This is not to say I don't like the way the cameras are now, but it's nothing special as far as adding it's own feel.

Just like a little "fold"...
