I use a digital SLR as most other photographers do today and have quickly realised that capturing images using camera-RAW files is the way to go.
Personally I use Adobe Lightroom to handle my photo library, but I know there are other software available...

Currently I use, it's slightly more....
I believe Picasa supports the RAW files by my Canon camera, but I have never tested it.
I've also tested Adobe Camera Raw , in conjunction with Adobe Photoshop Elements and Adobe.

There is growing alarm on DP Review about where, oh where, is the support for the Fuji Xpro-1.
Woulda thunk it?
Anybody know if this will happen in our life time?
In the meanwhile I'm really liking my Xpro-1 and am pretty impressed with the OOC jpegs....

So, there's several opportunities for the camera to get support.
And there should also be a DNG Converter 7.x as well .

As long as they support the 5D mark III, I will be happy .
I suspect, however it will come once the new from the camera is quite good.

Shot RAW for the first time. Always used Picasa before to PP shots a little.

There may be some differences raw.
The thing to remember about raw is that it is unprocessed, so an out of the camera jpeg should look the same raw conversion engine which is called Adobe Camera Raw.

That is odd.
