Any of you avid campers? Ryan and I have been gathering gear for an upcoming trip up to Blue River, OK. Anyone have any other spots to recommend? Planning on going again for my birthday in October.
Blue River should be fun since it's primitive at best...

Some camping, it's just hard to find the time to do it or the people who want to go with you.

My son is going to Huntsville Alabama for Space Camp this summer (at least that's the current plan). I could drive with him and stay in my tent trailer or I could just fly with him and then go camping for five days (which is what I'm leaning toward). ...

Looks like it's going to be a great weekend for camping. Looking for suggestions as close to Austin as possible. Would love a little hiking with VERY primitive and private camping. Nothing owned by the corps, because I will be carrying.

Does anybody have any interesting stealth camping stories to share?

The Problem with stealth camping is if the trail goes across
private property and you camp on that property, stealth camping....
Others hike where they truly.
Some folks go to great lengths to not camp at designated campsites.

I haven't had a chance to camp yet in my '08 so I'll post pics of camping with the previous truck:
