I just graduated from the UofA in Canada and am planning to apply to UK medical schools (for 2013). My only worry is paying the international...

I saw some Canadian Med Schools as being LCME accredited. Are those any good for a person who doesn't get into a medical school in the US? Would it still be hard to get residency?

By the way Canadians on SDN describe Canadian medical schools they seem to be harder to get into than not competitive enough for a US medical school, you wouldn't be for a Canadian one.
