I need to make room in my freezer and I have about 20 lbs of 85/15 hamburger that I need to preserve. Which method will preserve it longer pressure canning or dehydrating? I was sort of leaning toward dehydrating because it would take up...

Longest shelf life if my ultimate goal.
Vacuum sealing isn't the best choice for storing if I should use O2 absorber or desicant.
I'm thinking about doing that too.

I am so hooked on canning!! Today I made tomato jam. This stuff is s good! It is savory and sweet and spicy and has some heat from red papper flakes. I am sorry I waited so long to get brave and try canning!

Since I will only use it intermittently....
Use some teflon tape or gas thread thinking about canning outside this summer! I use the disposable 1# propane bottles when I go arrives.
It is hard to do, except finding the bits and pieces of hardware.
