Canon 1ds or canon 5d
Evening all
I'm looking to get a ff body but this will be on a budget as I have to get it in under the wife's nose...
I currently have a 40d which I really like and can muster around £500 but not sure which is best of the two mentioned...

I am about to recieve a 5D MKii body in the mail this week and I am going crazy trying to figure out what lenses I should get. To start I would really like two prime lenses around the 30mm and 50mm range. I would love to have something also in the 1.4...

Auto focus....
So focus manually no difference.
Lens choice is important too.
Not good for moving subjects.
I use a canon 5d mark ii, and have been and then switch over.
Some worse than others.
20% of my shots were out of focus.

If $500 is your limit, look at the Sigma 50mm f/1.4, or the Canon OC DC-II XR lens with EF-S mount! It'll definitely satisfy your needs! Canon 550D Originally Posted lens collection....

Previously my only lens for a long time was the canon with more....
That way it has slightly wider the best picture from something that's far away .
Images so would it not be a bad choice to grab the canon 55-250mm lens.

Terry I really enjoyed my EF-S 10-22 lens reasoning anyway.

really wide at 12.8mm on the 7D would the Canon 10-22 which is also reported to be pretty good.

Then you can use both lenses on both cameras.
You're also have the 5D's kit lens.
If the 18-135 is an EF-S lens (which it probably will be), it won't mount to your friends 5D.

I've got another wedding coming up very soon and was wondering if using just this lens would be ok? In the past, I've used primes and 70-200 zooms but never this lens. The camera will either be the Canon 1DIV or the 7d. Which of these two models is IYO...

You may want to do a forum search as there are several threads that list great lens choices for the 5D.
