Got a bit carried away at the shops today and spent an easy £60 on car cleaning products, missus thinks I am barking, but after a couple of hours work the car now looks better than when it came from the dealers a couple of days ago!

This may have been asked a thousand times before, however i plan on cleaning my car tomorrow and wish to do a bigger job than usual! I normally just get some car shampoo, give the car a scrub, hose it down and chamois it off.
I fancy using some wax and...

I had an entirely crap day at work today where I wanted to shoot people with bullets fashioned from their own poo, or give them a high five...in the face...with a rock!
Got home an realised the car was filthy from the MRC run back in the rain on Saturday...

Don't know why, spose it's because i live on a building site happily spent 4 hours cleaning, my car, or any car for that matter

How do you guys clean the car headunit lens? I was thinking of using the normal CD type lens cleaner (The one with a briush attached to the CD surface) but was not sure how it'd behave in the car player.

I just wanted to know a small thing. Is it better to wipe a car with a cloth or use a sponge? I heard that sponge is better as it doesnt scratch it by rubbing against the dust on the car?

I use cheap wash & wax stuff on my car myself now I can't take it to the jet wash, anyone with a wrapped car got any decent recommendation?

Sponge means grout or sea sponge that have big holes and recesses to trap dust and encapsulated ...

Just make sure you spray you warm it and soften it in your hands first... .

basically apply some spray lube onto the car then rub the small "clay" piece in circular effort I find claying to be no harder than polishing or waxing your car.

Don't know about effect on MF clothes, but amongst the detergents I'v used in the Indian market I find Ariel (for top loaders) the best. It cleans the best and does not seem to leave clothes too rough/hard. Its a tad pricy; but its the best available ...
