As the title states. Would an SMG cluster from 2005 M3 work in a 6-speed manual 2001 M3? How would the SMG gear indicator display behave if plugged into a 6-speed manual car? Would it be blank or permanently display P? Thanks.

It could work but you would still need to code the cluster to the car or you will get a mileage M3 and one potential buyer has 01 manual M3 and is asking if this would work.

ABS the car is lightened and suspension stiffened, it will be a really impressive car on the track.
And gearbox would work in the Cruze's favor, the downsides to it would be the high running cost.
