Do you have to carry your permit paper everytime you carry? I live in Iowa and just got my paper permit today. It is a bigger peice of paper than I expected and is not laminated and would be tricky to fit in my wallet easily. Do I need to carry it with...

Get a little plastic sleeve of sorts, fold the permit and put the paper in there for storage.
It is a misdemeanor to carry concealed without your permit.

AZ renews every 5 years.
You don't even need a permit for conceal carry.

NY Carry Permit
I am an NYC resident and possess a home handgun permit. However I would like to acquire a New York State carry permit. Does anyone know if this is possible and if so what steps would I have to take to do this?

I know one person that has a carry permit for NYC, and he is a licensed gunsmith and a FFL.
If you live in NYC, your odds of getting a carry permit are roughly slim:none.

One would need a VA permit as well as an out of state permit, the VA permit allowing you to carry in the state and the out of state permit giving you reciprocity on....
In state permit to carry isn't legal.

After 69yrs, I finally got one (my sons have been bugging me for years to get one). I've always brought the .44mag with me (along with the brick), but never had a permit. Now I gots one, so I'll be legal.

Better check State laws...a permit that's legal to carry in OK MAY not be valid across another state line.
