Any problems with using cast bullets in 1911?
Is it big difference in accuracy and maintenance between FMJ or CAst?

Cast bullets and the .45 ACP
Are like peanut butter and jelly
As....
Cast bullets are about all I shoot I would say about 90% of the time.
The 200 gr LSWC, particularily the H&G 68 design, and clones, works exreamly well .

Heavy cast bullets in .30-30
What's about the heaviest cast lead bullet that can be safely used in a .30-30 (Marlin 336)? Think a 250-260gr might work - that is, feed and chamber - reliably?

Additionally, I've found....
The longer cast bullets will contact the lead in the barrel (rifling/throat.
Most cast bullets suitable for the .30/30 are 200gr or lighter.

I've been reloading moly-coated bullets (.45 time! Yes, lubricant....
I'm wondering...Do they have a "lube ring" at all around the bullet? I'm no expert but I've cast my, in which case bullet lube is not necessary or even desirable.

I'd like to get some opinions on the quality of various cast lead bullet makers. So far, all I've tried are Oregon Trail 200 gr semi wadcutter, and the same from Dardas bullets. Both seem to be pretty good, with a slight nod to Dardas for appearance (...

Very cheap and easy to use, use it on several bullets myself.
Differing alloys are for differing hardness of the cast bullets on the Brinell and use the Lee Liquid Alox bullet lube.
