So even though the teachers in these schools are paid for from everyone's taxes, funding for the running of the schools is from public funds and the vast vast majority of building work/repairs are exclusively paid for by everyone Cardinal Brady thinks...

But the problem is that in many cases there isn't a viable alternative to the Catholic school, so despite with CoI pupils, and a Catholic school with Catholic pupils.
