Hi
im trying to fix a new modern ceiling light....the hole which the old one has left is too big, thus the only way i can fix the bracket leaves a gap around the light.
any ideas?

fill and paint around....

Switch off electric, check the connections at the light fitting for tightness, also check.

Because I live in Texas, and my pool room is upstairs, a ceiling fan is a necessity. It also has a lighting kit that is lighting the table...not optimal.
How can I hang decent lighting above the table?
I can certainly remove the fan, but it'll hurt.

The blue wire on the fan is the light on the bottom and the black is the fan motor, the red wire will be the hot from the light ....
The red and white wires to the new light it will bolt to the box where the fan hardware was mounted.

I did not have this problem.
It never popped the breaker before although the results to the light was the same believe the problem lies in the movement of the box for the ceiling fan.
It senses a short.
