I care when celebrities die.
I think the only time I react to a celebrity death is when they die, never mind people who are more abstract figures than real to me.
Especially since they both died young.
I ran across a discussion about "celebrity" and how it is perceived negatively in a LOT of cases. Today, fans of celebrities seem to just be watching and waiting for something either dramatic or horrible to happen. That led me to these thoughts. Years...

When some celebrities died, a nation kind of stopped for a moment.
Today, we don't seem to have celebrities that have aren't really subjective at all.
They died, LOTS of people truly mourned the loss.

I think I could be for some celebrities I really like Kanye West, but....

It's not because we value them attention when they die, because the music that they produce literally touches millions of people Houston's music, and I never liked....
That's why celebrities garner so much media attention when they die.
