Problem with this model phone so avoid this phone at all cost. The phone I'm replacing

USB tethering a phone to the n810 would be much more practical as far as power savings
to providing internet access to the N810 through bluetooth, has anyone succeeded in USB tethering a cell
tethering their cell phone to the N810?
It seems to be much better than bluetooth tethering ...

I have been searching to find what cell phones work best with ubuntu.
The criteria
is that it should connect via USB and allow tethering (this doesn't have to be out of the box)
I would like to start...
Storm or other Smart Phones are a good choice.

To their web site. Download to laptop you are going to tether. Run. It will install the app
on the phone for you. Connect on the phone and the laptop and you are good to go.
I wouldnt use
, and any laptop or device with wifi sees the cell network like a local one.

I've heard a tethered modem connected on using Verizon's software is very unreliable. I was looking
at a HTC Ozone and planned to tethered it once in a great while to my laptop. Is a tethered modem
at a couple of places around here. I'm not buying the phone from Verizon. But, I will make sure it has
