Switch on switch off does nothing but put your phone to sleep, a hard restart might put it right, press and hold power and home together until the Apple logo shows and the phone restarts
before doing that you might want to try resetting the network settings... .

No cellular service, What? Do you get by with no cell phone, or is it your main hub of communication? Could you cancel your service right now, no big deal?
Me, haven't owned one for about 4 years. My husband uses one and it does come in handy at times...

I called customer service several times, and everytime they either assurances that the service was already activated or it would be done in few hours or most of the times that they are arranging a call back....
