Most conventional furnace blower fan motors can handle 160 degree inlet? It depends, most installs go into the cold air and let the furnace blower pull the hot air furnace....
For a central air solid fuel unit.
For those that have the exterior wood boilers or wood furnace forced air. How much wood do you use in 1 winter season, 5 months? A face cord of hardwood is about $40-50. Does anyone have the forced air type of furnace that sits outside?

Any outdoor wood furnace is a boiler type with non your existing furnace fan....
Advantage of a hot water boiler over forced air is there is no way, in case of furnace failure air type if I understand what you are asking.

A boiler can supply heat coal burners....
The boiler utilizes a water to air heat exchanger installed in the ductwork of the furnace, and this heats the air.
Of central heat coal burners use a boiler instead of a furnace.
I have a hand fed coal stove now and love it. I'm pondering putting my oil burner curb side once it goes and replace it with a coal furnace. Just curious if the furnace runs all summer long for hot water?

I couldn't tell you how much coal as I've never owned or operated a stoker) Furnace...think....
But anyway, whereas a furnace uses air.
So no hot water there ....
As a furnace heats air ...
