Hi,
I'm planning a 4 week trip to indonesia in March. I'd like to see Java, Bali and Lombok.
Most likely I'll fly into Jakarta. My question is: would you guys take the effort of going into Jakarta? I want to take the train eastwards, and I'm leaning towards...

Going from Bali to East and Central Java (it's as close to the airport as central Jakarta)...
As you have found out, Jakarta is the cheaper hub.

This report could refer to the 5-year-old sister of the recently confirmed bird flu death in Jakarta. The girl was cleared after 3 negative tests, but still treated in hospital.
Now this report says she was tested positive and died.
