If that scales (I'm not sure if it does), it means that there will be a 50% chance of a collision when you have 6% of 2^288.
In other words, the probability of a collision is 50% when N is 6% of S.
= 23.

Do you agree that a player should get chances relative to his talent? So if player A is nth times more talented than player B then player A should also get nth times more chances before being replaced with player B? Does this logic make sense? For example...

Even not impressive 10" Meade LX 50...that scope gave soft, rather dark lowish contrast images....when my chances.
I would say that without a filter, your chances are probably around a four on that scale.
