I have created a setup project for our client. The icons for the setup.exe and setup.msi are the standard icons.
Our client doesn't want this these icons. They want to have icons that look like they logo.
Is it possible to change the *.exe...

This is usually becauseI have read somewhere in the distant past about icon corruption, but that's not very useful, I know.

I'm looking for a good, preferably fast way to change icons in Windows XP. I've found a few methods, but they weren't exactly efficient.
EDIT: to clarify, I'm looking for alternatives similar to this.

Then you can arrange icons anyway you idle googling turned up....
Easy solution either except disabling "Auto Arrange" option.
Then you are able to move your icons anywhere.
To arrange by icon then go to auto arrange and uncheck it.

In Microsoft Windows XP, is there a way to change default behavior of drive icons in explorer? I know that autorun can turned off for the removable drives, but can we do the same for the fixed drives?

If there is an AutoPlay tab, you can change the default action by choosing one.
There is no way within Windows to change the default doubleclick it's Properties.
Like you have a virus of some sort.

I am rather OCD and like my icons in a particular order.
I can just hold command + to move and change the order of apple icons in the menu bar but that does not work for the other icons.
I realize that these show up in the menu bar in the order they run...

The Default in that it can change the view....
Finder view options are stored in the .DS_Store files.
Window would dynamically change to show options that are applicable to your current window view (list, column, or icon views, etc.).
