Hey guys, Wondering what type of carbon is used in activated charcoal filters. I read somewhere you can make your own using Aquarium Carbon pellets.
Thanks!

But they do work better if you can pull the air through
50 cfm seems low how big is the filter? it's 5 be filtering much.
I had a set up before were i had to push the air through the filter and it worked fine.

So I need more engine bay room and I'd like to toss the charcoal canister. It's not a street car so it doesnt matter. Anyone do this? Should I hook it up to vacuum like the canister or just vent it to atmosphere? Thanks guys

You don't want to "cap" it...it can work as a vent .
OR...cut it back by the tank and put a filter on it back there.
What I do is get a cheapo filter and put it on the end of that line and just bury it in the fender well.

Isopropyl extracts turn out MUCH better if filtered thru some charcoal and dewaxed, same with BHO charcoal and dewaxed, same with BHO.
