Hi
Picked up a cheap digital camera which gphoto2 doesn't know what to do with. Tried a whole bunch of the different camera options with no joy. Should I give up?

Is a dslr camera(around £120-200) really just the same quailty as a normal cheap digital camera? are you just paying for the slr look?

For the price you listed...are you talking about a used DSLR or a "bridge" camera (an advanced point & shoot camera that looks similar to a DSLR)?
£120-200 is only $194-$323 USD, and you will not find a new DSLR for that price.

I would like to buy a digital camera for only a cheap amount.
I cant tolerate over an amount of 50$. So is there any non used digital camera available on the net?

My wife want her own digital camera. She wants something cheap and simple. The one she has picked out is the Konica-Minolta Dimage Z5. It is listed at http://www.wawadigital.com/shopping/...d=15&Sku=mndz5 and is under $300, so it is ceratinly cheap enough...
