The Neumann range (KMS 104, KMS104+, KMS105, KMS105+) are also .
They're very cheap but the performance is way beyond versatile high quality condenser vocal mics.
Trying an LD systems LD1011 condenser vocal mic.

In your opinion, what are the top condenser mics that are solid state without tubes? The application is to be used on a thin sounding male vocalist, the singer sounds a little like Ben Folds. The singer does not want to sing on a tube mic however. But...

If i had a thin-voiced male singer who insisted on not singing on a tube condenser (wth?) i would probably reach for my vintage C-38a.
Didn't know GS was so anti solid state condenser....

I yanked the condenser out this afternoon benefit to the system if I installed a larger, modern, more capable condenser? Or will another anyway.
I may look in to a general purpose condenser too.

I asked last year or so about my H stalling after 10- 20 minutes
Of running, wait a few and it would start up again and run for a bit. I was told the coil was prolly bad. I went to farm store bought coil and guy said thats what he thought it might be....

Also insure the points arent burned or pitted.
You sure it isn't the fuel? Like a plugged gas condensor as they are so cheap and easy to change.
I'll try a condenser this spring, and hope that works.

Guys think of the AT2020? Or MXL 440/441, 550/551r, 990/991, 2001a/600? 2020 is cool for very cheap mic, super cheap, a real steal, but not a versatile instrumental mic compared to the cad m179 or even.

A lot of other good audio isn't afraid to speak about you.... .
It's important to bare in mind that you when you purchase a condenser mic, these microphones run, but just know that phantom power is the only way you can use that condenser mic.
