Cheaper Than Newegg

Firstly, would this thread belong somewhere else? I put it here because it's not really a software or a hardware problem. How can I determine the cost of shipping for buying things from Newegg? I plan on ordering my PC parts from there, but I don't know the shipping costs. I want to know the total cost before I make an order. source

But you can get all of that stuff in your OP from SA retailers can't you? Take into account the shipping cost, the fact that you'll get no love from local suppliers when you have a warranty issue, it's not worth it imo. I haven't gone and compared those prices to local, but I doubt it's that practical, your money though. source

Some of my items from newegg last year were packaged in a similarly obscene fashion. It seemed like a waste for sure, but ultimately I would imagine it's cheaper than a delay if they're out of more appropriately sized boxes. Perhaps they can't properly stock various box sizes. source

The order confirmation emails have always been prompt, but tracking numbers less so. But Newegg has been very good for me, and that includes many orders over the last 6 years. source
