Hi everybody! I am an exchange student from Europe, and I will be in USA for the next 6 months.
My problem is that I need a phone.
First. I wanted to buy an iPhone, but an iPhone is $99 only with the AT&T 2 year contract - which is around $75 a month ...

NOTE: if you use a t-mobile phone on ATT, you only get EDGE networks speeds - as the 3G phone altogether and picking ....
Will get you 1000 minutes, and you can usually get some throw-away phone for nearly free with that plan on ATT.

If you just want to get data/internet on your phone, what is the cheapest mobile phone provider to go with (don't mind if it is 30 day contract/24 month contract/ready to go).
I use about 100-200mb per month of data.
I don't care that much about phone...

We are with Verizon. She had a cheapie phone that came free with contract. It's lost, including the SIM card. In the past when a phone died we purchased a go phone and just changed out the SIM card, but we have no SIM card for this one.

I know you used sitting in a drawer here, it's an old style flip phone with no bells or whistles.
I am not sure about buying another phone (a non-Verizon one) and "unlocking" it.
