Yes, you can write check off being better than checking account interest (should your checking account be interest bearing).
A Money Market is a savings account.
They really aren't similar.

ANyone still recommending BankDirect checking with AA mileage?
Get 10% for average balance per month up to $200,000. Then there is a statement you can go over $200,000 with no cap.
