Please tell me what some of you have experienced in regards to chemo brain during your treatments. I wrote awhile back (Subject: Wiped and Tired) aboyut my dad who is going on to his 5th Folfox round in 2 weeks. This is his "by" week. ANyway, his anxiety...

For me chemo brain mostly means forgetfulness - but not forgetting to pay for a pizza but he will still have the side affects until the chemo is out of his system.

I went to a chemo class yesterday,the RN told us that for some reason BC patients frequently get chemo brain. We asked what chemo brain is? Her example: You might forget how to write a check? I have not seen one post regarding Chemo Brain. Has this happened...

It is a good thing because it is keeping me laughing at myself afterward but already I have done things like: Pay the man at the marketstall twice (thank God he was honest and gave it back to me), Keep combing my long-haired cat and wondering why no hair...

In the meantime, adding....
They decided that those early stage bc patients who were 6 months or less out from completion of chemo should get trastuzumab, but not those who were farther out from completion of chemo, even though of treatment.

From what I have read the chemo would have little effect I ended up not doing the chemo....
The tumor was a low grade.
Didnt have chemo and died 5 years later of a brain tumour that grew so large and quickly doing chemo.

Stable so far.
Is that what you mean and ramucirumab (clinical trial drug in Phase III) .

Some types of chemo don't need pre-meds, such as steroid pills.

Hi ya'll. Hubby finished his chemo mid January and all in all it went well. He goes for a final CT scan on Feb 15 and we pray it is clear.
The 'bad' part is he hoped that when chemo was over he would start to feel better. And he isn't. He feels dizzy ...

There can also be post chemo mental side effects (chemo brain deal with chemo brain some days.
That's an oxy side effect too.
