Hey guys,
My wife recently went for her H4 visa interview to Chennai consulate. Her interview was really short (~100 sec.!) and the officer said she will get her visa by mail in ~7 days. Today she got the couriered package with her un-stamped passport...

I received green slip at chennai consulate. They asked me for LCA and original H1B petition in the form.
But unlike other 221g's I have read in the forum, I was asked to submit the passport along with the documents at the dropbox.

I have seen Mumbai/Hyd/Chennai consulate are relatively better that the consulate will contact you once they have reviewed your documents.

Interviewer told that you just by case basis.
Even if it is amended now, since the consulate send the approval on 3rd Jan 2012 at Chennai for L2 Visa and she got 221g green form.
It is too late for an amendment.
