In principle I was approving of the means test, buying govt's line about "only the rich".
But then I found out that rebate starts to be phased out for single people at $83,000 and families (2 adults child) at $166,000.
Ullo, ullo, ullo. Here was me buying...

No doubt they wouldn't have the means test on the rebate....
Does the means test on the rebate affect you? I support it.
That rebate starts to be phased out for single people at $83,000 and families (2 adults child you ask for.

I just spoke to the local centre near my work and to enrol 2 yr old DD for 2 days it would be $97.30 per day and to enrol for 5 days it would be $94.80
Is that the going rate?
Also, how do I know if any of that is covered by centrelink?
TIA

You can also choose to get the child care rebate (CCR) paid directly to the centre which halves if your combined family income is less than around $130k
CCR- child care rebate - this is 50% reduction....
Complicated.

I'm considering a private nanny instead of a day care when I return to work. Does anyone know if you can get the CCR for this? Or does it have to be a government run/approved facility only?

For registered care you only get $0.632 per hr back care ....
CCR rebate gives you 50% of out of pocket fees back.
I won't ever be eligible so won't ever get it .
CCB depends on your income.
The child care rebate.

The GP will advise of any vaccines as per the attached... .
This is held electronically and then entitles you to child care rebates and vaccination payments and evidence to schools for admission.
Will fill it in and send it to medicare.
