I'm scheduled for lap-banding on Sept 27th... I'm in the 3rd day of the shakes and I'm dying! I want hot crunchy food badly, but I want to be skinny and healthy more so I'm toughing it out.
This morning I got slightly inventive and mixed the chocolate...

Going to freeze it and put.
I actually just put some of the optifast in ice cube trays.
Would be nice.

When hubby did his a few weeks ago he froze a few, and he also heated the chocolate to make "hot chocolate".

I'm curious what people are using for meal replacements. I'm looking for something to replace lunch as I don't really have time for a regular meal. Shakeology is out for me as it's packed full of herbs (some of which I can't tolerate). Any suggestions...
Answer Snippets (Read the full thread at myfitnesspal):
Totally yummy, tastes like normal....
Meal replacement is hard to stick/mint.
Optislim and Optifast with success before (I used to buy whichever was on special) - I only drink the chocolate ones and they are yummy but they are NOT filling...

Their chocolate mousse isn't too bad either.
Also, the Optifast stage is not so bad if you get hold of the bars as well as the drink mix.
That littlebit of fitness will really help your recovery.

I have always read and heard that you should not do this but I tried it this past week and it seemed to jump start my efforts. I had put on about 5 or so pounds over Thanksgiving but it is gone now after five days of only eating once per day.

There....
I did the Optifast thing a sugar free chocolate pudding cup.
If it's working for you works for you - and if skipping a meal helps and is working - then do it .
I did the Optifast thing for a while, and that helped initially.
