We don't do TYs for Christmas gifts, onlyWe only do thank you....
We do them for every gift and DS's birthday is 2 days after Christmas, so we do them "news" email, not a specially designated "thank you" email.
Family doesn't.

Pretty self-explanatory question. Myself, I always got way too much as a kid, and only a few gifts really stick out that I still remember now. Where is the line between enough to honor the holiday and so much that they'll never appreciate anything?

I also make them new Christmas PJs every year and buy my own christmas....
I would say it usually winds up being maybe 4-5 total gifts per child.
I try to keep it under the threshold of gift overload.
Handful of other gifts.

As far as Christmas, I have heard them say they "extended the return period" meaning sure that you mark the return slip as a "gift" - I recall last year many didn't their original shipping refunded because they didn....
