Is there any way to use Google Chrome on Linux (specifically, Fedora 8)? Is there a native version for Linux, or would I have to use Wine?

Food for thought....
Most probably it will not be based on a particular Linux OS, but they will start from scratch using the Linux kernel
They'll probably roll their own repository (Debian, Ubuntu, etc).
Such details have not been released yet.

If you use Gnome either KDE or Gnome, you could try ... .
If you use KDE it will use this.
Chrome uses the Proxy settings for your DE.

We can start with the basics:
Do you have software to read PDF? Does Chrome know about it? Are you in a separate window.
