Anyone had any success with this. I know about the sour orange rootstock but what about those with no rootstock. Can I grow,say,grapefruit?

OP do you have a large healthy tree....
Ghetto I know but I have seen worse im not gunna leave an SR20 motor sitting outside hanging from a tree for any length of time lol FACEBOO K.
Get a hoist and roll it to the nearest tree branch.
Curious to see if anyone from here did. A couple buddies and I will be there.

Ive seen probably 500 deer from this same tree, just only 2 legal bucks which I let both of them walk.
I can tell you a spot I guarantee you will see deer .
Be prepared to see about 50 does per sit.

Will it completely work on citrus, ??? seems like it might, enough direct light well citrus will produce when....

Comercially, people do not graft to existing wild trees for a number of reasons - rejection, the tree to, but he was a good man.....
Rootstock does, in that you want it sending sap up at the same time as an apple tree normally would.
