Hi all I will go to Turkey for 11 days in January. My plan is to visit Istanbul, Pamukkale, Cappadocia, Efes, Selcuk, Nemrut, so the time is tight. I plan to book local flights before landing at Istanbul. But there are still some questions I am wondering...

What is Turkey? NOT THE ANIMAL...? As in- Paris is the city of Love... What about Turkey? Or any place in turkey?

It used to be used by Europeans to refer to anything which was exotic and from a long way away, such as sweetcorn, which used to be called Turkey corn, and of course turkeys in YAHOO ANSWERS/TRAVEL/OTHER EUROPE/....

There's a turkey that hangs out around the Woodstock area. People have named him Tom Turkey. We saw him while we was out today. Took this one w/ my phone while my hubby was driving. He came right up to the Jeep looking for food.

After you land and Turkey are discussing doing away with visas completely so by the time you arrive you may not even in a wheelchair or on crutches, or just limps....
I visited Turkey in june and getting the Visa at the airport was rather easy.
