I think your time allocation sounds pretty good - as there's plenty to experience in each of the cities, dividing your time equally between them is probably best.

Toronto is huge and if one day is spent seeing than Quebec....
And that was even are spending too much time in Vancouver and Quebec City .
We recently spent 3 days in Quebec City and felt that was enough.
For Toronto in my opinion.

We are flying in to Toronto on 10 Sept, flying out of Quebec City 20 Sept. We plan to stay 3 nights in Toronto, 1 night Niagara Falls, 1 night Kingston, 2 nights Montreal & 3 nights Quebec.
